DANGERROUS & SPECIAL SHIPMENTS

All Breakbulk (BB) or Heavy-Lift (HL) shipments use a multimodal transport solution with a combination of land, sea and air using Breakbulk. RORO and/or Container vessels, Barges, Railroads, Trucks and Aircraft. Virtually all Project Cargo shipments are considered Out of Gauge (OOG).

In most cases, we will require the Material Safety Datasheet (MSDS) and Dangerous Goods Declaration (DGD).
Depending on the circumstances, we may require additional documentation such as a weathering certificate, a certificate of analysis (CoA), or approval from a competent authority (CAA).
We may need to contact your emergency number to learn more about your shipment. By providing the correct number, you will assist us in taking any necessary action in a timely manner.

Oversized and overweight cargo exceeds the dimensions and capabilities of a single standard container. We have the expertise and equipment to deliver whether you are shipping a 350-ton tugboat, a 46-metre crane arm, or a 17-metre propeller.
We offer customized and cost-effective solutions for shipping your In Gauge, Out of Gauge, and Break Bulk cargo.

In Gauge cargo

The cargo dimensions are less than or equal to those of the flat rack or open top container (i.e. it requires special equipment but does not displace additional slots on the vessel).

Machinery or large trees that can be lowered into an open top container are examples of In Gauge shipments.

Out of Gauge cargo

The cargo dimensions exceed the dimensions of a flat rack or open top container by length, width, or height, but it can still be unitised in containers.
Propellers, flanges, and trucks are examples of out-of-gauge shipments.

Break Bulk cargo

Because it is much larger and/or heavier than a standard container, it is handled as non-unitised cargo and is typically placed on a bed of flat racks with a large number of lashing points.
Yachts, masts, industrial machines, and train carriages are examples of common Break Bulk shipments.
